Over a period of time when the upholstery of furniture deteriorates ( viz. fading of fabric sheen and colour, sheer, loosening of padding or  becoming uneven) one can either change the furniture altogether or can opt for reupholster- advisable only if the basic structure of article is in good condition. Inevitably reupholster is economical and saves time. Also, one can always retain their classic piece which is dear to them and at the same time giving it a new look altogether.
